Feel the smooth skin of a ray at Touch a Ray Bay. At the Penguin Playhouse, visitors can watch penguins do footprint art and even take home a painting. If you want a cool souvenir, you can also get a picture made with a live penguin. It is no surprise that the aquarium is rated America’s #1 aquarium as well as the top destination to see penguins!
3. The Gatlinburg Space Needle
The attractions at the Gatlinburg Space Needle are sure to keep you plenty busy. Starting from the top, the ‘407 observation deck provides a breathtaking 360 degree view of Downtown Gatlinburg and the Smokies. When you come back down to the ground, you can win prizes at Arcadia. At 25,000 square feet, it is named the largest arcade in Gatlinburg. You can also engage in friendly competition by playing Lazer Runner, the Space Needle’s on-site laser tag game. When all those activities work up an appetite, you can eat some of the best Italian Food in Gatlinburg at Slice Pizza Bakery. 4. The Peddler Steakhouse
The Peddler Steakhouse is known for good food and rich history. In 1958, long before the building became a restaurant, it was the home of Charles “Earl” Ogle Sr. and his wife, Beth. In 1976, the building was renovated and the restaurant was open. You can see the preservation of history before you even walk into the door as the original stone chimney still stands!
