On this adventure, you will zip through the treetops on lines that stretch high over the forest floor and offer beautiful views of the Smokies. Along the way, there will be two challenge stations where you will rappel off platforms and enjoy a controlled descent to a cushioned platform below. It’s a fun adventure for everyone!
3. Tree Canopy Walk
The Tree Canopy Walk is one of the best ways to see all the gorgeous views that the Smoky Mountains offer. During the Tree Canopy Walk, you will get to feel what it’s like to be a bird as you stroll 40 to 60 feet above the forest floor on 16 connected sky bridges. Each bridge takes you to a different observation platform where you can take in the sights and learn about your surroundings! You may even get to spot some wildlife on the forest floor below!
4. Shop in Firefly Village
One of the best places to spend your time while you are at Anakeesta is Firefly Village. This magical village is built among the treetops in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. Both shopping and dining opportunities can be found here. Get ready to shop until you drop! The Great Outdoors Trading Company has a variety of products, from Appalachian art and pottery, to hiking gear for an exciting day exploring the mountains. 5. Play on the Children’s Treehouse Village Playground
If you have kids with you when you visit Anakeesta, take them to the Children’s Treehouse Village Playground! This playground is interconnected by multiple bridges that are designed to build strength and confidence, and there are surprises at nearly every turn. Kids will have a blast trying to navigate a plank walk to a maze, or crawling through a tube net to another fun climbing adventure!
