The summer tubing at Ober Gatlinburg offers a whole new way to have fun when you visit the Smoky Mountains! The tubing lanes are in the valley of Mount Harrison, close to the Ski Mountain Coaster. To get to the top of the hill, a Magic Carpet will take riders up the hill so they do not have to walk up while holding their tubes! Once at the top, riders will choose one of the 4 lanes that stretch 250 feet down the mountain and slide down for thrills and fun!
This attraction will feel just like snow tubing! A silicon material is used to create the lanes, making it feel like the rider is on compact snow. This is the same material some ski areas use for cross country skiing and the entrance on their lifts. The silicon has traction to keep the tube controlled yet is still soft enough to glide easily down the hill. This track is designed to preserve the environment. A swimsuit is not required to ride these slides, but you will get splashed! The Blue Cyclone has a dark tunnel you’ll twist and turn in for tons of thrills. Shoot the Chute quickly drops down the slide and then splashes you with water at the bottom. The Lightnin’ Water Ride is an open water slide that has dips built in to keep you guessing. Ice Bumper Cars
