We want to focus on the wineries in Gatlinburg TN, so keep reading to learn more about some of our favorite spots!
Smoky Mountain Winery
One of the oldest wineries in the area, Smoky Mountain Winery is known for its free tastings and excellent wines. Their LeConte red and Mountain white varieties are some of their best sellers! You’ll love hearing about the wine-making process from the friendly and knowledgeable staff, and you’ll definitely want to take a bottle or two home with you!
Gatlinburg Winery
If you’re a fan of sweet wines, then Gatlinburg Winery should be a must-stop on your list! It is most famous for its original cotton candy wine, which is also available in flavors like cotton candy blueberry and cotton candy peach! A few other favorites include the Mountaingria, a muscadine white wine with notes of mango, peach, and lemon and the Bearly Blushing, a muscadine rose that’s not too dry and not too sweet– it’s just right!
Tennessee Homemade Wines
Tennessee Homemade Wines has a location in downtown Gatlinburg right next to its sister company, Tennessee Cider Co. They have a variety of wines, from chardonnay and red blends to sangria and more. For those with an adventurous palate, you have to check out their Experimental Series, with options like Mountain S’more, Raspberry Truffle, and even Peanut Butter and Jelly. Don’t knock it until you try it!
Elkmont Winery
Elkmont Winery is just a few steps away from the Gatlinburg Space Needle! They offer free tastings, and there you’ll find their most well-known wine, the Peach Cobber Moscato. We also recommend trying the Watermelon Moscato, as well as the Butter Pecan Cream white wine. They’re also one of the wineries in Gatlinburg TN that offers shipping to your home!
Bootleggers Homemade Wine
Another winery offering free tastings is Bootleggers Homemade Wine, which is located next to Ole Smoky Distillery. They bottle each batch by hand, forgoing any fancy equipment, so you know this is an authentic local mountain wine! Some of their best-selling varieties include a homegrown strawberry wine, a red table wine with black cherry and currant notes that’s bold and spicy from sitting in an oak barrel, and a full-bodied muscadine blush with a blackberry twang.
Goodwater Vineyards & Winery
Goodwater Winery is another small-batch winery that also offers online ordering as well as a quarterly wine club! Favorites include Pearadise, a dry white wine made with 100% pear juice for the ultimate crisp flavor, and Knotty or Nice, the perfect seasonal red wine with orange and cranberry juice flavors.
